My name is Shilo. John Quincy is that sweet little derpy boy up front and Abigail is "The Original Sassy Girl" with the pink halter. This is one of the most cheerful looks Abigail can muster up (check out the blog for more photos and updates).

In 2016 candles became a new hobby for my daughter and I. This definitely did not start as a business venture but, within a year we had grown into a store front with wholesale options.

Not long after in 2018 my husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, We decided to close up our storefront and just do wholesale. This gave our family more time to focus on his treatment and our family. After 3 aggressive surgeries, many rounds of different chemo's, & radiation the cancer continued to spread. In 2021 my rock and the glue of our famly had left this earth. It was time to close up shop while I attempted to get my bearings and our family figured out how to move forward.

Fast forward 3 months -Abigail (my sassy basset), came into my life. Without a doubt this little grumpy lady has given me purpose again. The first few months after bringing Abigail home I was recieving emails for candles that people wanted to order. I slowly started to make a few candles again. I soon realized making candles felt normal to me after everything that had happened the previous few years. Making them became almost therapuetic for me. During those first few months Abigail was one of the few reasons I had to smile and get out of bed in the morning. I am confident I would not have found my way back to candles or myself had it not been for Abigail.

And so the rebranding began and The Original Sassy Girl was born. We kept our same great candle scents and added a few more.

All of our candles our made with all natural soy wax, phthalate free oils, and either using a cotton or wood wick.
